The Non-Medical Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Stanford ensures ethical research involving human subjects by protecting their rights and welfare.  The IRB reviews research conducted by faculty and students from the schools of Sustainability, Business, Education, Engineering, Humanities and Sciences, and Law

Research involving Medical School personnel or resources may require Medical IRB review. See our guidance on non-medical studies with medical components. Our professional team is dedicated to safeguarding the rights and well-being of all research participants.
